The site was originally acquired in February 2019, with initial planning consent for a residential scheme secured in July 2022. Following a strategic review of market demand, a revised planning application was submitted and approved in June 2024 for a 134-studio, high-specification student residence.
Construction commenced in September 2025, with delivery planned for the 2027/28 academic year. The project is being delivered in partnership with CCG, the building contractors, and Cooper Cromar, the architects, and will be operated by True Student, continuing Kelvin Properties’ model of delivering high-specification, fully stabilised assets for the institutional investment sector.
